We're a family who couldn't find the clothes our kid wanted, so we built a platform where creators can make their own and learn how a small business works. Families can also learn together how to choose a thoughtful price and make their first sale.
Our Story
The Hoodie Problem
It started when our kid turned eight and wanted streetwear that reflected his world — gaming, soccer, music. It was hard to find clothes that fit his taste, and the merch out there was either low quality or overpriced.
Tastes Move Fast
Kids' interests change faster than any supply chain can follow. One day your kid likes a dumpling-shaped squishee and the next day they're hooked on an anime pirate.
AI Changed Everything
When generative AI arrived, we tried it with our kids and their eyes lit up. Suddenly they could describe what they saw in their heads and watch it come to life. A dragon dunking a basketball? Done. Their own custom anime character? Ten seconds.
The Obvious Idea
We'd already built a website as a fundraiser for our son's school. We'd found premium print-on-demand providers with quality we actually trusted. The AI could generate the art. The print providers could make the merch. The kids had the ideas. Why not connect it all?
GamerHood Was Born
A place where creators can make clothes they want to wear, share them with friends and family, and learn about building a business, pricing, and finding an audience.
What We Believe
The Three Problems We Solve
Less predicting what they might wear, and more designing it themselves.
We're Maile and Sitaram — parents with three kids between us, and firm believers that it's easier and more fun for our kids to make their own clothes than for us to buy the wrong stuff and make trips to the post office to ship back the returns.
